  The Celebration Books Program

The HWS Celebration Books program provides students an opportunity to donate a book to the LRC for birthdays, special occasions and in honor or memory of a loved one.  Thank you to the following students who donated a book to the LRC in celebration of their birthdays!   Your donation helps our LRC collection grow:

Cheyenne G(3A), Morgan J (4Zi), and Melanie (E).

Battle of the Books has concluded here at HWS.  We had 17 teams competing with students comprising those teams.  Our HWS Winner, The Avocados, were Nate Armstrong, Henry Lee, Declan Dennison and Alexander Manella.  Our second-place team were the Slay Queens followed by Koala Stitch.  Please join us on Monday, March 24 at 7 pm at the Batavia Public Library for our district battle. In addition, The Avocados will challenge our Teacher Team on Wednesday, March 26.

Additional information:

Kindergarten sign up!

Have a neighbor, family member, yourself or friend who has a student that will be turning five by September 1, 2025, that they are considering entering kindergarten at a BPS101 elementary school for the 2025-2026 school year?  Batavia Public School District 101 strongly encourages families of incoming kindergarten students to begin the enrollment process. We are looking for as many registrations entered before we leave for Spring Break. All families who complete the registration process before Spring Break will be cordially invited to an April Kinder Preview event, more information to come.  Visit our website to register: bps101.net/kindergarten or on Facebook.  Knowing how many new students we will be receiving early greatly assists in determining the number of sections we will require.

We will continue with weekly Messengers on Fridays throughout the school year. All school messengers can also be found on our News Wall.

Please be sure to check out the Backpack Mail View the latest edition of Backpack Mail > link that is attached to The District Weekly BPS messengers. Good community events are listed!
