Special information:

Have a neighbor, family member, yourself or friend who has a student that will be turning five by September 1, 2025, that they are considering entering kindergarten at a BPS101 elementary school for the 2025-2026 school year?  Batavia Public School District 101 strongly encourages families of incoming kindergarten students to begin the enrollment process. We are looking for as many registrations entered before we leave for Spring Break. Visit our website to register: bps101.net/kindergarten or on Facebook.  Knowing how many new students we will be receiving early greatly assists in determining the number of sections we will require.

A note from the LRC:

 The Celebration Books Program

The HWS Celebration Books program provides students an opportunity to donate a book to the LRC for birthdays, special occasions and in honor or memory of a loved one.  Thank you to the following students who donated a book to the LRC in celebration of their birthdays!   Your donation helps our LRC collection grow:

Kane County Cougars Reading Club

Ozzie’s Reading Club is continuing.  All students are encouraged to participate in the Kane County Cougars Reading Club for 2025. Ozzie’s Reading Challenge challenges students in Grades K-5 to read 60 minutes a week, over the course of eight weeks, for a total of 480 minutes.  That’s only 12 minutes a day!  All students who complete the challenge will receive a free ticket to a ball game on May 8 at 6:30 pm and May 18 at 1 pm along with a hot dog, drink and t-shirt. Information and reading logos were sent home with students.

Valentine’s Day activity
Come meet Clifford the Big Red Dog at Anderson’s Bookshop!  Each ticket admits a family and includes a photo- op with Clifford and special Clifford- themed goodies! Clifford will be in two locations.  Downers Grove on February 15, from 2-2:45 and Naperville on February 14 at 5pm.
